When you arrive at the Calgary Laser Tag Arena you will need to sign the waiver. You will then need to select the airsoft rifle you would like to use, purchase BBs and load your magazines.
Before you load the airsoft rifle, your instructor will clarify all safety rules on and off the field. Because of the dangers involved with airsoft, there is a no tolerance rule in effect. You follow the rules or you do not play.
Once all players understand these rules, your instructor will then give a short demonstration about using the guns, how to clear the chambers and how to use the safety. The instructor will also offer hints and strategies.
Airsoft is played inside the Laser Trek arena, with either the white lights or the black lights. Please note that you are responsible to clean up and replace any lights you may break. If a light is broken during a game, immediatly call the game over. Safely clear you chambers and exit the feild. Those responsible should then clean up.
Airsoft is a sport based on the honor system. BBs do not leave any form of mark to denote a hit, so it is up to the individual to call themselves out. Failure to do so is obvious to those around you. Cheating not only dishonors yourself, but those you play with as well, and robs all of a fun airsoft experience. Hits count anywhere on your body and gear. This includes headshots, clothing or any gear you may be carrying on your body.
Airsoft is nothing like you'd ever expect! Pay attention, be dynamic, but most importantly learn from the vets. Airsoft is a complicated game.
When the game concludes, exit the feild remember to remove your magazine and clear the chamber. Safetyon!
These rules borrow heavily from the JOC Rules, an expectable standard for safety. They will be rewrote. JOC Airsoft is one of Calgary's major airsoft clubs hosting games every Wednesday night at Trek, and occasionally at our outdoor feild.
